Some tips to gain our attention:

Due to the amount of emails and press requests we receive on a daily basis, we might overlook your email. It’s not intentional, we promise!  In order to keep that from happening, here are some tips to help you get noticed and to have your content featured on the site:

  • Catchy subject line!

Have something catchy, but relevant, to make your email stand out. Simply tilting your email with “PROJECT XYZ NEWS RELEASE” is probably not the best way to make this happen.

  • Give us something we can get behind!

Give us a reason to care about your project. Why would our audience care about your project? While news releases are great ways to get out the information, they do little to make us care about the project by themselves.

  • Video content is a plus!

Demos are even better! If you have neither, please provide some images. At the very least, provide a links where we can get them. Anything you can do to give us content is only going to help you.

  • Be friendly and personable!

No one likes a rude person. Especially not us. We also like feeling special. Don’t make your message sound so generic like you sent it out to every news outlet (even if that’s what you are doing).

  • Be detailed…but don’t over do it!

We want to care about your project, but to do that we need some details about what makes your game different and interesting. In the email, just give us a short explanation about the project, attach any relevant media content, and we will take care of the rest.

If you have not heard back from us, please feel free to send us a reminder. Chances are, it just got lost in our inboxes and we might just have missed it.
